Praise Jerusalem by Augusta Trobaugh

by Augusta Trobaugh, HB with DJ cp=Second Printing, July 1997 by Baker Book House. 285 pages. This book was a semi-finalist in the 1993 Pirate's Alley Faulkner Competition. This wonderful novel has a picture of the author as a child with her friend and caretaker to indicate that part of the story was based on fact. Praise Jerusalem spans a few vital weeks in the lives of three elderly Southern women who have been thrust into a concerted effort to find their "New Jerusalem" - a utopia of heavenly perfection. In this case, however, it is the small town of Jerusalem, Georgia, to which the women journey, each expecting to find happiness at last. But to find their utopia, they must overcome the social estrangements that isolate them from each other. I did read this book and found it to be a delightful and poignant novel. It is in like new condition.

In His Steps By Charles M. Sheldon

BY Charles M. Sheldon PB cp=1985 by Barbour Publishing Co. 242 Pages "What Would Jesus Do? When Christians in a local church pledge for an entire year not to do anything without first asking the question, "What would Jesus do?", following Christ's example brought great joy. It also caused misunderstanding, conflict and suffering. It meant entire dedication of money, talent, career, and influence to Christ. IN HIS STEPS is a most unusual appeal to the Christian to follow in Christ's steps regardless of what others might do. Without a doubt, you will find this one of the most entertaining and yet challenging books you have ever read. More than 15 million people have found it so!" Complete and unabridged copy of a classic collectible. Slight wear to cover but spine is tight and book is in Very Good Condition.

Drums Of Change by Janette Oke

read back cover.
by Janette Oke. PB cp-1996. Christian novel by well know author. Mint condition. The Story of Running Fawn. "This story has grown out of the early history of our province of Alberta. The history timeline will guide the reader through the actual events. The statistics given, the terms of the treaty, and even the words of the two great chiefs at the time of the signing of Treaty Number Seven have been taken from historical accounts. The story is fictional. A number of missionaries came west to work among the tribes and to help establish schools. Accounts tell of their suffering along with the Indian People. I have written this story to help deepen our understanding of all whose lives were touched by that period of history with its dramatic time of great change." Janette Oke. This is a used book in like new condition.
